Iconic waterfront remedial & upgrade project
Project overview
Facing Manly Wharf, Manooga is one of Manly’s most recognisable waterfront buildings. This project focused on transforming a 1960s precast structure into a modern, practical and visually refined building while respecting its architectural character and prominent location.
The scope involved stripping the building back to its core and rebuilding with a custom remedial approach that enhanced durability, functionality and long-term value for residents.

Rebuilding with purpose
Working with an existing structure like Manooga presents unique challenges access limitations, working at height and careful material handling in a high-traffic waterfront environment. These challenges shaped the way the project was delivered.
Fluid worked closely with Sutech to deliver new balconies, upgraded windows and doors, and a full external repaint, creating a clean, modern finish while improving performance and longevity. Every stage required thoughtful coordination, experienced trades and a deep understanding of remedial construction.
The team embraced the complexity of the site, applying proven techniques and practical solutions to ensure the building could meet contemporary standards without losing its identity.

The completed works have given Manooga a renewed presence on Manly Wharf modernised, durable and ready for the next stage of its lifecycle. The transformation has added both visual appeal and long-term value, setting a strong foundation for future upgrades.
