Extensive remedial and waterproofing upgrade

Project overview

Fluid was engaged to undertake significant remedial works to this Narrabeen unit block, beginning with the removal of substantial loads from the roof to allow works to proceed safely and effectively. Nearly 20 tonnes of pebbles and over 100 tonnes of soil were removed to prepare the structure for remediation.

The project focuses on improving waterproofing performance, balcony functionality, and the overall presentation of the building.

Remedial works

The project involved comprehensive waterproofing works to the roof, alongside the construction of new balconies for selected units. Existing balcony planter boxes were re-detailed across the remaining units, with upgraded waterproofing and drainage systems installed to improve long-term performance.

The final phase includes the removal of the existing render and a full repaint of the building. These works will significantly enhance durability and presentation, delivering a refreshed exterior built to withstand the coastal environment.
